The PLASTIGAUGE is widely used to measure clearance in automotive plain bearings. Clearance in large-diameter bearings can be measured without removing the crankshaft.

It is useful in production, inspection, and maintenance.

Operation:

• The wax-like substance must be pressed into the area to be inspected.
• To measure the clearance, take the gauge provided and align it with the substance to determine the clearance measurement.
