Alépoc, the specialist in Parts for Peugeot 202

The Peugeot 202 is the smallest but also the last of the 02 Series to appear.

The large sedan 402 was released in 1937, the 302 in 1936, and the 202 appeared in 1938. It adopts the stylistic codes of its older sisters, namely an aerodynamic line, or streamline, hiding the headlights inside the grille. Smaller than the other Peugeot cars in the range, 4.11 m long compared to 4.5 m for the 302, it is also better proportioned and more elegant.

Under its hood, you'll find a 4-cylinder inline engine of 1133 cm³ rated at 30HP.

At Alépoc, you'll find all your mechanical parts and engine seals.

The production of the Peugeot 202

This allows it to be a competitor to the Renault Juvaquatre but especially to the Simca 8, both established in the 6HP category. While it is not very powerful, it quickly finds its clientele, and 20,000 cars are produced in the first year. This success encourages Peugeot to launch Cabriolet, pickup, van, and even limousine 6-window extended versions of its 202. Production continued at the beginning of World War II, only pausing in 1942. Before that, many cars served under the French flag, mostly as liaison vehicles.

When the French industry restarted, the Peugeot 202 also resumed. We are in 1936, and the car underwent few changes. It is recognized by its wheels, whose steel hubcap is solid, while the chrome has disappeared. It also changes its denomination to become the Peugeot 202B.

It will quietly continue its career since the Peugeot 203 was only released in 1948. In the meantime, it received hydraulic brakes with much better performance. It permanently retired in 1949 after 139,718 units were produced.

It is no longer common on the roads, but you can still see beautiful models during various vintage car gatherings across France. To bring yours back to life, Alépoc offers you here new engine parts of the era for Peugeot 202 to help you restore it.
