Alepoc, Specialist in Selling Citroën DS Parts

When we talk about Citroën classics, the Citroën 2CV and the Traction come to mind, but no one forgets the DS. Designed to succeed the Traction, it simply revolutionized the French driver's perception of luxury. Sure, the planned 6-cylinder couldn't be installed, so they opted for a major evolution of the Traction's 4-cylinder. However, it is its futuristic aspect that will leave a mark starting from the Paris Motor Show in 1955.

At Alepoc, you can find all types of spare parts for your Citroën DS: Carburation, Filtration, engine gaskets and mechanical parts.

The Citroën DS was unveiled there and made a sensation. First with its design. The Italian Flaminio Bertoni created a modern work of art on wheels. Its shapes resemble no other. Then, its technology is also very advanced. It incorporates the hydropneumatic suspension system that was tested on the last 15/6 models a few months earlier. This provides unprecedented comfort while ensuring high-level road handling. This hydraulic system also serves as assistance for braking, gear shifting, and offers power steering. From the very first day, the Citroën DS received 12,000 orders!

Citroën DS, the high-flying city car

It had a long career punctuated by evolutions. First by being equipped with a range including the ID models, more affordable, less assisted versions, but maintaining the style and comfort of their big sister. Initially offered with a 1.9-liter engine, it evolved with the DS 20, DS 21, and DS 23. Starting in 1966, it operated on 5 bearings, allowing for increased power. From 66 hp, it could even reach double that on the DS 23 equipped with electronic injection!
Aesthetically, in 1968, it adopted its most well-known design. Previously, round headlights finished the front wings. Later, streamlined headlights appeared that could even turn to follow the curve!

The career of the Citroën DS ended in 1975. 1.455 million units were produced, including sedans, station wagons, coupes, and convertibles, notably made by Chapron.

The Citroën DS is a highly noticeable car at vintage car gatherings. It is a car that remains modern and allows for serene long-distance driving, with unmatched comfort.
