The vintage French car is sometimes a vector for encounters. Unexpected meetings between enthusiasts and professionals that enrich our lives. Today, we present to you one of our latest encounters: Stéphane Bousquet, a professional in mechanics of classic vehicles who works in his SV2T workshop in Lozère, in Massegros. Roger went to interview him and recount our meeting during a car rally.

The meeting with Stéphane Bousquet

It was in the summer of 2022 that our adventure began. The ALEPOC team left their native Gers to head to Aveyron, specifically to Sévérac-le-Château, for a classic car gathering. As always, these events are rich in encounters, but some are less fleeting than others.

It is noon, time to gather around the table to share a good local dish. We find ourselves facing a family composed of two brothers.. The discussion begins and little by little, we discover a shared passion : that of bringing old cars back to life through :

  • the distribution of remanufactured spare parts for ALEPOC,
  • the mechanical restoration and the upholstery for Stéphane Bousquet and his wife, with the SV2T workshop,
  • the bodywork restoration for Cédric Bousquet, with Atelier Bousquet.Hello! How can I assist you today?

A perfect communion manifests itself, also noticed in the two brothers who are complementary.

A sympathy quickly develops, so much so that the Bousquet brothers invited us after the meal to visit Stéphane's workshop located in Millau. In front of the automotive wonders found there, our eyes marvel, but we save the tour of the premises for a future interview with Cédric.

The discussion does not stop and intensifies. Everyone is talking his anecdotes, desires, and needs around the popular French car. One element stands out more than others. : the willingness to participate in the Epoqu’auto Show, the must-attend event for classic cars. That's perfect because we had planned to go there for the 2022 edition.

This exhibition allowed us to Showcase our expertise, as well as the talent of the Bousquet brothers., came to present an incredible replica of the RRenault 5 Turbo type Cévennes Tour de Corse by Jean Ragnotti. The work is such that this replica has been certified by Renault Classic.

A magnificent car, a myth stemming from a popular French car, which attracted many people to our stand.

This essential experience and perfect cohesion prompted us to renew the experience for the 2023 edition with an even larger stand, as you may have seen in our dedicated article.

This time, a rare Renault 4 phase 1, barn find, occupied the space alongside the beautiful bodies of classic cars.

In our approach to Highlight the professionals who trust us, we decided to visit them so they could tell you their story.

Stéphane was the first to participate in the game of the orchestrated interview by our mascot Roger. In March, we went to see him in his brand-new workshop located in Massegros, Lozère.
